Warranty
Every brand-new sofa we sell is covered by a manufacturer's warranty. This page explains what that covers — and, just as importantly, what your legal rights are alongside it.
Your legal rights come first
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods we sell you must be of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for purpose. Those rights are against us, Sofa Renewals, as the retailer you bought from — not against the manufacturer — and they last longer than the warranty period. Nothing on this page reduces or replaces them.
If something is wrong with your sofa you do not have to use the warranty. You can come straight to us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.
What the warranty covers
New sofas carry a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects in the frame and key structural components, under normal domestic use.
What the warranty does not cover
- Fair wear and tear, and natural changes such as fabric softening, creasing or slight colour variation over time.
- Damage from misuse, accidents, neglect, unsuitable cleaning, or failure to follow the care guidance.
- Commercial or contract use (the warranty assumes normal home use).
- Items sold as pre-loved or refurbished, which are covered by their own separately stated terms.
An exclusion here does not remove your statutory rights. If the sofa was faulty when you received it, the Consumer Rights Act still applies whether or not the warranty covers it.
How to make a claim
Contact us at info@sofarenewals.co.uk or via our contact page with your order number and, where possible, photos of the issue. We'll assess the claim and arrange a repair, replacement part or replacement as appropriate. You deal with us throughout — you do not need to contact the manufacturer yourself.
