Corner sofas are the workhorse of a family living room, and most of ours are universal (reversible) corners, 21 designs that can face either way, so you set the orientation after it arrives. There are also 32 U-shapes for larger, open-plan rooms, plus a few fixed left- and right-hand-facing models. Seating runs from three to seven and prices from around £600 to £2,200, with popular ranges including Capri, Moscow and Hudson.
Handing tip: “left-hand” or “right-hand” refers to which side the long chaise sits on, and because makers label it differently, check the product photos and section sizes against your room before ordering. Universal corners avoid the question entirely. As corners are large, also confirm the total width on each product page, or use the size finder to see only the corner sofas that fit.
